CocoRoo: Coconut Based Skincare You Could Eat! [Review + GIVEAWAY]

Hello friends! Today I am reviewing CocoRoo, an awesome brand that makes coconut oil based skin care. You won’t find any questionable chemicals or filler ingredients in these products. In fact, they are so natural that you could eat them. Keep reading for the chance to win a coffee scrub!

Disclaimer: I received these products in exchange for an honest review. I really love this company, and my opinion is unbiased.

CocoRoo currently sells two products: Total Rejavanation Coffee Scrub, and Coconut Oil Moisturizer. The Coconut Oil Moisturizer comes in three scents: Naturally Naked, Lost in Lavender, and Mint Condition.

The coconut oil moisturizers are huge, and contain 8 fl oz of product! The Naturally Naked (fragrance-free) scent retails for $15.95, and Lost in Lavender and Mint Condition retail for $17.95. Their ingredient list is very simple: organic cold-pressed coconut oil and macadamia nut oil. The Lost in Lavender scent also contains organic lavender oil, and the Mint Condition scent has organic peppermint oil and natural menthol.

These moisturizers arrive hardened, because pure organic cold-pressed coconut oil is solid at 64 degrees Fahrenheit and lower. However, I was able to warm them up quickly by running the bottles under warm water. I love that you can change the consistency of the moisturizer so easily. If you heat up the bottle even more, you can use it as a massage oil. If you use it while hardened, it makes a great balm. I prefer using it as a lotion all over my body. I feel so soft and silky after using it, and the sensation lasts for hours!

The only thing I didn’t really like was that the oil formed a little plug in the neck of one bottle, and it was hard to get it out. I had to apply a lot of pressure to the bottle, and it ended up shooting across the bathroom and splattering on the wall. Lol!

I also received a Rejavanation Coffee Bean Body Scrub, which contains 8 fl oz of product and retails for $19.95. I really love that this scrub comes in a squeeze tube! Every other coffee scrub I’ve ever used comes in a pouch or jar; dipping your fingers into those over and over again is unsanitary and quite messy. CocoRoo’s bottle design is functional, germ-free, and also super cute!

This scrub is made from organic Arabica coffee beans, along with cold pressed sweet almond oil, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, and natural silica. That’s it! Unlike the moisturizers, this scrub always stays liquidy and comes out of the tube without needing to be warmed up.

Coffee beans are one of the most effective natural exfoliants, and their caffeine targets eczema, stretch marks, and cellulite. This scrub is hardy enough to use on your whole body, but also gentle enough to use on your face.

Using the Rejavanation Coffee Bean Body Scrub is such a pleasant experience. It smells divine, and it feels so satisfying to scrape off all your bits of dead skin. After using it, your face and body will feel so soft! This does leave a coconut oil residue behind; if you don’t like that oily feel, you will need to use a washcloth to remove it.

I think CocoRoo is a great brand, and I am so happy for the opportunity to have partnered with Jill. I think it’s amazing that she is striving to provide us with natural skincare that is good enough to eat!

I really like how you took your photos at the beach! It really captures the experience. Though the Rejavanation looks like a similar texture to a sugar scrub. I’d love to try it!

Yes, coconut oil is awesome! I’ve actually started using coconut oil on my face before bed for the past couple weeks, and I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in the fine lines on my forehead. I’ve also tried oil pulling, but I couldn’t really get into that. Lol! Thanks for stopping by, Donni 🙂
