Holy Sheet! [Facetory Sheet Mask Review]

Hello friends! Right now, my skin is the best it’s been in years, mainly due to my use of Curology. This past week, I have gone even further in nourishing & pampering my skin by using sheet masks.  Facetory has sent over their November “Four-Ever Fresh” mask kit, and I have been testing out each one. Let’s dive right in!

Disclaimer: A big thanks to Facetory for sending these in exchange for my honest review! I was not compensated in exchange for this post, nor does this post contain an affiliate link.

Facetory is a monthly subscription box that delivers Korean sheet masks to your front door. As of right now, they have two options:

Four-Ever Fresh: 4 sheet masks made from fabrics such as cotton and cellulose. This costs $5.95 per month, plus shipping.

Seven Lux: 7 sheet masks with more diverse options, such as hydrogels and multi-step masks. This option is $15.95 per month, plus shipping.

Facetory has provided me with a non-affiliate code for my readers.  Use code WHIMSICAL20 at checkout for 20% off your first box!

The four sheet masks they sent over were the MediHeal R:NA Whitening Mask, the Candy O’Lady Sweet Lemon Candy Mask, the Yadah Collagen Mask Pack, and the M.K.I O2 Firming Skin Mask. I was most excited to try their 3-step firming skin mask. Facetory is celebrating it’s one year anniversary, so they have included a multi-step mask in their Four-Ever Fresh kit for the first time ever!

There was also a leaflet included that gave me a bit of background on each of the masks. I am glad they included this, because the writing on the masks’ packaging was all in Korean.

And lastly, they included a fun sheet of stickers!

All right, let’s take a look at the MediHeal RNA Whitening Mask first. The leaflet noted that “whitening” in Korean skincare means brightening the skin to reduce hyperpigmentation. It isn’t meant to make you look Caucasian, which is a common misconception. I do have a lot of redness around my nose and chin, so I was really excited to use this mask. Its creamy serum will also moisturize your skin, and prevent wrinkles.

The Mediheal mask was quite goopy, and it took a long time to absorb into my skin after removing the mask. An hour later, my skin was still slightly moist, even after patting as much of the essence into my skin as I could. When I woke up in the morning, my face was smooth, and looked super hydrated!

Next, we have the Sweet Lemon Candy Mask. This is a thin microfiber mask, and it contains ingredients such as niacinamide, allantoin and trehalose – each will brighten your skin and lock in moisture.

I really loved using this mask! It was definitely the best-smelling in the whole kit. I used it at night before bed, but it can also be used as a primer before doing your makeup.

Okay, let’s move on to the Yadah Collagen Mask Pack. This actually  contains snail mucin, which increases skin elasticity and reduces wrinkles and scarring. I did a little research into how snail mucin is collected, and it isn’t something I can get behind. Snails are not killed in the process, but they are “mechanically stressed” into secreting excess slime. I wish that this mask used some sort of synthetic ingredient, because I try to consume as few animal byproducts as possible.

That being said, I did still use the mask and my skin felt amazing the next day. It has never felt softer!

And, last is the M.K.I O2 Firming Skin Mask. The first step of using the mask is to massage your face with the O2 cleansing foam, and rinse. I loved using this foam! It bubbled up so much, and made me feel like a child again. The second step was to apply the skin mask, and leave on for 15 minutes. And the third step was to use the O2 Real Aqua Essence and apply it all over the face. I am a little confused as to what the ingredients are; all I was able to gather from the instructions was that it contains oxygen and water. I’m sure it must have had a lot more ingredients, or else it just be water in the foils. Applying this mask was a lot of fun, and I liked that it was multi-step. The next day, my face was glowing!

Here is a close-up picture of my skin, before using any of the masks:

And here is my skin four days later, after using all of the masks. My pores are smaller, and my skin looks a lot healthier!

Overall, using these masks was a really enjoyable experience! The retail value of this box was $14, and it only cost $8.90 (and that includes shipping). If you are looking to venture into the world of Korean sheet masks, this a great way to try a variety of products and save a bit of money while you’re at it.
