Ivy Voxbox Review

Hello friends! I have been on Influenster for a while now, and once in a blue moon I will receive a notification that I have a big box of goodies for review headed my way.  If you are a blogger and are interested in reviewing boxes of goodies for free, check it out here). Last month, I was shipped an Ivy Voxbox, which was filled with goodies for a pampering night in. I’ve tested out all of the products, and now it’s time to review! 

Pictured above are all of the box’s contents. This first item that caught my eye when unboxing was the Nubian Heritage African Black Soap Facial Cleansing Bar. This facial soap retails for $4.99, and contains soothing agents such as aloe vera, oats, and vitamin E. It lathers easily, and feels pleasant on the skin. After using it, my skin feels squeaky clean! And, it doesn’t make my acne-prone skin flare up, so that’s a huge plus. The only problem I have with the product is that I really can’t stand the smell. It is cloyingly sweet, and reminds me of black licorice. It is also a tad drying, but I just follow up with a tiny bit of moisturizer and I’m fine.

The next item I tried out was the Gilette Venus Swirl razor, which retails for $8.99. This razor has a “flexiball” in the middle, which lets the razor head move in multiple directions. This makes shaving my armpits and knees SO much easier. I think flexiballs are the way of the future, because this was literally the best shave I’ve ever had.

Next, I tried the 7th Heaven Foot Soak and Lotion, which retails for $2.97. I have mixed feelings about this one. The Foot Soak smells lovely, and makes my feet feels so soft and smooth after using it. However, the lotion half smells, looks, and feels like toothpaste. I was actually really tempted to taste it so I could see if they were actually packaging toothpaste and calling it lotion! I probably wouldn’t buy this product.

One of my favorite items in the box was the Chapstick Duo Double, and refill. The Duo Double retails at $3.98, and the refill retails at $2.48. These chapsticks smell very fruity, and go on with a tiny sheen of color. They are pretty much an average chapstick formula; what I really loved about this product was the packaging. You can buy all sorts of shades/scents, and lock them on to each other. It’s honestly adorable, and I can see myself getting a few more shades to throw in my purse and backpack.

The last thing I received in the box was the Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers, which retail for $1.99. I actually ate the whole bag, and threw it away before thinking to take a picture. They were really good; I’m not usually a fan of sour candy, but these were only sour for about 3 seconds before fading to sweet.
