Review: Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Mascara

Hello fellow beauty lovers! I wasn’t planning on making a post today, but I fell so in love with a new purchase that I just HAD to let you know. Yesterday, I was shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond for kitchen towels, when I noticed that there was a beauty section. How I’ve gone all this time without noticing it… I have no idea. But, I was so excited that I bee-lined over there, completely forgetting the towels (which I ended up not even getting, haha). The beauty section had the typical makeup brands you would find in Target; Revlon, Maybelline, L’Oreal, etc. However, it also had a huge Physician’s Formula section, which I haven’t really seen before. I think my local Target carries maybe 5 or 6 Physician’s Formula products, so I was super excited to check this out.

One thing that I love about Physician’s Formula is that they try to keep their products as natural and organic as possible. They don’t use fragrances, PABA, or other irritants in their formulas. This means that their makeup is especially great for people with sensitive skin, such as myself! I have been on the lookout lately for a mascara that doesn’t make my eyelashes brittle and itchy, so their Organic Wear 100% Natural Mascara caught my eye almost immediately. The package said that the 100% natural, 70% organic mascara is supposed to amplify your lashes by 500%, does not contain parabens, harsh chemicals, or synthetic preservatives. Best of all, it was only $9! An organic mascara for that price?? Yes, please!

When I applied the mascara at home, I had mixed feelings. It makes my lashes a lot longer, and doesn’t have any clumps – both of which are great qualities in my opinion. However, it doesn’t really make my lashes appear any thicker. So, my lashes seem super long, but also pretty thin. I put on two coats, and got the same effect as one coat from my regular mascara. However, it isn’t like it looked terrible. It also didn’t dry out my eyelashes; instead, it seemed to moisturize them a bit, which is great! The mascara was also really easy to take off, and I didn’t have to go hard at them with my eye makeup remover. The best part of this product, in my opinion, was knowing that there were not any harsh chemicals close to my eyes. I think that peace of mind is worth a less dramatic look.

Here are the pictures of me wearing the mascara! The first three were taken right after I applied it. The last two were taken several hours later in the day. To check out the Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Mascara, head here.
